type in console or edit your MikeJ.cfg in C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\jaymod\profiles\MikeJ\etconfig.cfg

mind the mod folder jaymod is just a example

change these in the config file

seta r_customwidth "1920"

seta r_customheight "1080"
seta r_mode "-1"

if you type in console use set not seta if done by hand and execute vid_restart in console

or create a shortcut of the et.exe your using and change the target setting to this and skip working on configs it overwrites the configs

right click on shortcut and go to properties change target

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\et.exe" +r_customwidth "1920" +r_customheight "1080" +set r_mode "-1" +vid_restart

hit the spacebar after the last " of the target and add the above

and hello old friend must be fish day :)

copy paste this in the cfg

Open console while in game and execute

/writeconfig MikeJ.cfg

it will be saved in etmain with all the settings you have just changed in game

or copy jaymod/profile/MikeJ/etconfig.cfg and rename it to MikeJ.cfg and put it in etmain

keep in mind it will not save the 1920x1080 shortcut

you will still need to use the shortcut until you modify the cfg to those settings

I just so lost now, I put the changes in both .cfg files, the one in etmain and the one in jaymod and it will work one time and then reset everything and i loose my XP

What happened to just creating a new file like we used too, put the things we want in it and exacute it in game

You can still do that. Just create new file called - resol.cfg and add this line in your autoexec.cfg or any other config

exec resol.cfg

You can execute the config anytime that was written through console with /exec MikeJ.cfg you don't have to do both cause the jaymod/profile/etconfig.cfg by default will load automatically

DareDevil is stating that you can add the config to another config in the same manner just with out the / part to make it automatic

Keep in mind ET has bugs when it comes to the cvarlist being changed sometimes even on the first time and you have to reset it with /cvar_restart;exec etconfig.cfg:vid_restart

But even logging into certain servers with different mods you'd still have to exec your config

you can also add it to the shortcut with +exec MikeJ.cfg like

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\et.exe" +exec MikeJ.cfg +r_customwidth "1920" +r_customheight "1080" +set r_mode "-1" +vid_restart

If you put your .cfg after the resolution the custom will change to what is in the .cfg

ET requires /vid_restart after joining servers for changes to take effect so be sure to check console when starting and just look for changes will be made after restart

Not all cvar's require a restart but some do if you see a restart required for resolution then either edit the cfg to proper aspect or remove it from the config

What i did.

open notebook on desk.

write this

seta r_mode -1
seta r_customwidth 1920
seta r_customheight 1080

rename it to whateverulike.cfg

put it into ETmain/jaymodfolders

join a server, do in console

/exec autoexec whateverulike.cfg.

And i make sure my monitor got same resolution.
