  1. If you are viewing any YouTube videos via Fearless-assassins right now, and have having delays, it is not our forums. 😄 https://downdetector.com/status/youtube/ Shows over 98,000 reports of trouble in the last hour and 5 minutes. When watching a video, it may play for 5 or 10 minutes and then show the "busy-circle". Now it seems to be play on Chrome for about 1.5 minutes. A short vid via Opera "Private Window" played through okay. I wonder if this is related to the YouTube download cache and whether YT is 'fetching' more data when the cache nears depletion??? The reports are pouring in. This chart is from 3 minutes later.
  2. Hey Have the problem more often. There are good days and bad days. It is said that if the Internet connection is slow you will automatically have worse chances. In other words: I have a connection with a line of 3000. The other one with 15000-150000. He can almost see the ball coming and deviates easily. But I can hardly resist it. Which affects a bad gameplay. I've noticed more often. I shoot exactly on the head the shots go to the void. Even if you're right in front of it. If the opponent does not move. I find very annoying. Unfortunately, I have a connection from the Stone Age. A line of 3000 is embarrassing. have also tried many mouse settings. If I make it very slowly, it's better. Unfortunately, it is a disadvantage if the opponent moves quickly. Just a middle ground. The shooting itself remains difficult despite everything. have been playing for many years et. But my ability has found a point where it just doesn't go any further. It's annoying when you aim and still lots of shots go to the void. I've seen a lot of videos. You even meet when you aim at the head. I can vergssen. What do you say ? Best Regards
  3. Hallo! With the growing security concern via the net, I thought I'd share my security tips, etc and how ive secured my PC w/o $$ and so far, so good. Maybe others can contribute their knowledge/wisdom. I was watching youtube and saw all the "web analytics" blocked in the site (see blocking) Good old Kaspersky I.S. I recommend, built in browser protection, I have a trial reset, G2G. Also, I cant emphasize enough, use a host file(see block2) block imbedded ads, if you really wanna get technical, clear browser cookies, visit a site, and then check options/remove individual cookies and see what othe sites are connecting to you. (Mozilla) Ive added individual ads to my hostfile blocklist Oh, I stay away from IE. Derp! P2p, use peer block, maybe VPN, definitely have: Spybot, Spywareblaster, Malwarebytes, CCleaner, or some utility, Ive tested othe antimalware progs, Ive found some things, here and there, but my install is over 3yrs old, still good. I boot up in like 1:20s. EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel MotherboardIntel Pentium D 3.4Ghz 4Gig Ram, Win7 32bit Geforce 210 Pc is like 8 yrs old, lol. Becoming a classic, So, what you workin with?

  5. Hey guys, I'm looking for a program to manage the enormous amount of accounts I'm having. I can't imagine this doesn't exist, but I can't seem to find anything because "multiple accounts" always leads to managing multiple accounts on the same website (which is often not allowed and not what I'm looking for). So what I'm looking for: a website or software to manage the accounts made on all sorts of websites, for example the account on this forum, the account on job sites, my account for the university, for my email,... If you'd have any hints, I'd be very happy with them Plat

  7. You can now swim with the whales without getting wet, thanks to Google's new Street View tours of the ocean's depths. As described in a new blog posted Thursday, Google has posted new Street View imagery of more than 40 underwater spots around the world, including the American Samoa in the South Pacific Ocean and Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean, as well as deep sea dives in Bali, the Bahamas and the Great Barrier Reef. The views reveal the beauty of whales, fish and other creatures under the sea as well as corral reefs, shipwrecks and other areas to explore. The new images are a change of pace for Google, which usually keeps its Street View tours above the water. But the virtual tours are more than just a guide to marvel at the wonders under the sea. Posted in time for World Oceans Day on June 8, the images are also a way to focus on the harm being done to our oceans and the attempts to preserve the undersea world. "Home to the majority of life on Earth, the ocean acts as its life support system, controlling everything from our weather and rainfall to the oxygen we breathe," Google said in its blog. "Yet despite the ocean's vital importance, the ocean is changing at a rapid rate due to climate change, pollution, and overfishing, making it one of the most serious environmental issues we face today." To foster a greater awareness of the sea, Google created the images in partnership with the XL Catlin Seaview Survey, NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and the Chagos Conservation Trust, all of which are dedicated to studying the oceans and educating people about the hazards they face. "Mapping the ocean is key to preserving it, Google said. "Each image in Google Maps is a GPS-located digital record of these underwater and coastal environments, which can be used as a baseline to monitor change over time." As one example cited, the Great Barrier Reef faces such threats as an increase in storms and rising water temperatures, causing the reefs to bleach white. The imagery collected and displayed by Google can track the ongoing color changes to the reefs. As with all Street View images, you can zoom in or out and move the cursor in any direction to get a panoramic view of your subject. Some of the most fascinating images give us up-close views of the magnificent creatures that call the ocean their home. One image shows us a sea turtle swimming near the Solomon Islands. Another brings us to a humpback whale in the Cook Islands. A third image offers a peek at great white sharks in Australia. And a fourth shows us a huge sunfish (Mola mola) swimming in Bali. Ultimately, Google plans to publish more Street View images of the ocean's depths as a way for people to explore it and understand the changes that the undersea world is undergoing and will undergo over the coming years. 8. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau claims PayPal signed up consumers to its credit service, PayPal Credit, without their permission. PayPal neither confirmed nor denied wrongdoing in its settlement with the consumer watchdog. Getty Images The US consumer finance watchdog has ordered PayPal to pay $25 million in refunds and fines, stemming from the regulator's claims the payment company illegally signed up users for PayPal Credit, its online credit service. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said Tuesday PayPal deceptively advertised promotions for PayPal Credit, formerly known as Bill Me Later, which is a line of credit consumers can use to pay for online and other purchases. The company also signed up customers for credit without their permission, directed users to its PayPal Credit instead of their preferred payment method and mishandled billing disputes, the CFPB claimed in a US district court complaint. "The CFPB's action should send a signal that consumers are protected whether they are opening their wallets or clicking online to make a purchase," CFPB Director Richard Cordray said in a statement. The ongoing CFPB investigation was previously disclosed in prior financial statements eBay, PayPal's parent, filed with US regulators. Under a proposed settlement, PayPal will hand over $15 million in refunds to consumers and another $10 million in civil penalties. The company also will have to improve its disclosures for PayPal Credit. PayPal neither admitted nor denied any of the complaint's allegations, and the settlement doesn't constitute a finding that the company violated any laws. Consumers who are eligible for payments don't need to take any action; they will be contacted by PayPal, the CFPB said. The settlement comes at a sensitive time for PayPal, a San Jose, Calif., company that processes billions of dollars in payments through its payment networks, including PayPal Credit and Venmo. The company is set to split from its parent, eBay, later this year and become an independent publicly traded firm. The separation will bring increased attention to both eBay and PayPal, so any complications within either company will face heightened scrutiny from investors. "PayPal Credit takes consumer protection very seriously," a PayPal spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday. "We continually improve our products and enhance our communications to ensure a superior customer experience. Our focus is on ease of use, clarity and providing high-quality products that are useful to consumers and are in compliance with applicable laws. " According to a PayPal source close to the matter, the government investigation was based on it receiving a "very small amount" of customer complaints, totaling 0.01 percent of PayPal Credit's accounts. The source also said PayPal improved its consumer disclosures involving PayPal Credit prior to the investigation. PayPal has offered PayPal Credit since 2008, allowing customers to make purchases on credit from thousands of merchants, including eBay. The CFPB alleged many consumers were trying to enroll in a regular PayPal account to make online purchases but signed up for the credit service instead without realizing it. That meant they could incur interest and late fees on their purchases, just as with any other line of credit. The company also failed to post payments properly, lost payment checks and mishandled billing disputes, the CFPB said, claiming tens of thousands of consumers experienced these issues. The regulator also claimed that PayPal abusively charged customers in certain cases, hitting customers with deferred-interest fees that could've been avoided. The PayPal source said the settlement doesn't require any changes to PayPal's deferred-interest services. In August 2013 and January 2014, the CFPB contacted eBay, PayPal and its subsidiary Bill Me Later, requesting testimony and other information on the operations of PayPal Credit. eBay disclosed that these requests were made in past financial reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission. eBay had said it was cooperating with the CFPB. Once the settlement is approved by a judge, PayPal will have two months to put together a written plan identifying the consumers affected, the total money paid to each of them and the way it plans to pay them. According to the settlement plan, affected customers who are eligible for these payments include certain people identified by PayPal and the CFPB who paid late fees or interest or incurred deferred-interest charges, or had a payment processed through PayPal Credit without understanding they were using PayPal Credit. 15. German secret services have ramped up surveillance of online communications in the fight against terrorism. A new report reveals the authorities accessed 37 million emails and data connections in 2010 - five times as many as in 2009. “Bomb,” “nuclear” and “rocket” were all keywords used by German intelligence agencies to flag up and monitor 37,292,862 emails and data connections last year, the Bild newspaper reported on Saturday. The figures came from a report by the Parliamentary Control Commission, which oversees the activities of the country's secret services. Three authorities, the domestic intelligence the Verfassungsschutz, the foreign spy agency the BND and the Military Counter-intelligence Service currently have access to online communications data in order to identify terrorists, arms dealers or traffickers. Over the course of one year German intelligence agencies plugged in around 2,000 keywords relating to terrorism, 13,000 weapons dealing terms and 300 on trafficking. Despite this large scale mass surveillance, the operation only led to valuable information in just 213 cases. The parliamentary report was published just hours after Friday’s ruling by the German Constitutional Court demanded a change in the law on authorities accessing user passwords. The court ruled that existing law on the storage and access to user names, passwords and PIN codes by intelligence agencies was a breach of the basic right to privacy of personal information guaranteed in the German constitution. Lawmakers have until June 2013 to clarify the rules. Source Thanks for reading DJ
