What is with all the Kiddie Flamers blanketing the servers?! This on Jaymod server 2 Sunday AM First of all, historically, WWII didn't even USE Flamers to any great extent, IF at all, Until the Pacific War. I am a regular donor, and have been on this site since 2012. I'm up with a few flamers. But, when the entire game is nothing but, that who wins use the greatest number of flamers, you can take me off the list; both playing and financial support. There were at least 2, if not 3, flamers on each side in tiny little maps where all we did was kill flamers, and get killed by flamers. NO Gameplay. NO useful stats. and just entire b.s. and kiddie server s*. WHAT is the Matter with administration? You WANT people to play on these servers, and then chase them out with unfair gameplay. When you see a flamer, wipe out like 5-6 guys on a 8 x 8 server, enough is enough! I'll go play elsewhere. Total tiny tots you have here. They cant play, shoot, or use group game skills, NO. Just kill everything in sight. Well, I guess THEY are having fun, but this is just plain lame. I have way other games to play, and way better use of my time, then in a non moderated server. I apologize it sounds like taking my ball and going home: but, this isn't the game I signed up to play, in the first place. Anymore than a server over peppered with panzers on a small server, is crap. I am just stating my money is better spent on servers where people don't just cheat the crap out of the game. If this is where ET has gone, then all you appeal to is the 12 yr old (frankly, I've seen 12 yr old's play better) If you all were not so uninformed, you would realize, that putting a bunch of flamers on a small map, with small bot/people level of 16: 8 on each side, is ridiculous. Its like Spamming the server, where no one plays, and except for the flamers, and just leave. And, further, you have drastically cut down, to like "0" the Lt. ability to airstrike. Understandable on a large server with real peeps. But, NOW, its OK to FLAME the entire server instead? Well, this is one less player here. And, you should see all the ones I see jumping off. Sure, the flamers, who cant hold a gun, or throw a nade, will b***...but, thats just because they descended from panzer babies, and got it taken from them. Flamers and Panzers are good...WHEN used appropriately; many times saving the game. BUT, if everytime you spawn there are flamers everywhere, its NOT ET its Kiddie Time. And, I want to play ET....Kiddie Land.

Jay2 server should be in Europe. This way Jay2 can draw more players that do not want to play 140+ping.

Steam release came along, Jay 2 blew up. It was awesome...shortly after that crowd left, Jay 2 was left bare and worse than ever before. What happened? Did Steam have anything to do with it? What happened? Numbers right up and straight down, down lower than I've ever seen... -

Other server regulars/members shouldn't participate in this specific poll so the results don't get skewed. For Ex: Silent 1 regular, voting in this poll - will skew the results. This topic is for further discussion on the subject of hard to hit players on Jay2 as I don't think we have yet pinned down exactly what makes some players seemingly unhittable. I think we should structure this debate by providing a few base points as per previously discussed, this will hopefully provide continuity to the debate. We shall take the points below as fundamentally true: - No player is invulnerable to damage; - The potential for damage exchange is equal for both sides; - For reasons yet unknown some players are unhittable or invulnerable to damage. Please feel free to share your thoughts on this matter.

I wonder if most people don't know how good Jay 2 is. I wonder if too many have come to the server and seen Bots or were put off by the Adren. If So, that's a mistake. I was the same way but last year I started playing on Jay 2 primarily after my last ban on Jay 1. What I found there was the ET I was looking and spent way too much time crying about not having on Jay 1. Let me explain. There are some fundamental differences although both are Jaymod servers with similar settings. Where Jay 1 is crowded, at most on Jay 2, teams will be like 10v10 which gives you more room to move around and less worry of getting multi-attacks at the same time from every side. I like to find a spot behind everyone where I can perch, far away and take people out at a distance. It's something I've gotten much better at on Jay 2, because there's more time to focus, without all the chaos. Also, because some people are using 'dren, you learn to focus more on quality shots, where they count more than you do in shooting often or using way to get bulk kills. The other thing is Jay 2 has it's own community, like most servers do, but what's different is that other than a handful of high skill players, like El, Iomen and some others, the difference in skill level is very close -as pointed out by NikkiChantress today, so maps are very competitive with some really sold fragging. Sometimes, like no one will be chatting or even using vsays but just focused on the game and playing there has made me more Objective based on maps I normally never played objective on and play on both sides way more often. Plus, benefit for me an everyone, it's calmed me down a lot. I'm not frustrated and angry when I play this game like I used to be. SO, if this sounds like a Jay 2 Recruitment ad, it is. The downside is that too early, people leave and by evening US time, the teams are BOT heavy. And occasionally it's gets a little "Nooby" but every server does, big deal. I wish more people, who might be frustrated with whatever server they play on now, would give Jay 2 a solid shot. Not just a map or two but really give it a chance to appeal to you - if it does - and hang with us. It would be cool to not have to kill Bots, like are starting to show up on there at this time of day. Give it a shot, you might find a better ET experience there.

I play on Jaymod 2 I'm not saying that it's intentional or that anything can be done about it. Anyone who has played for years knows when a hit is a hit. It's very strange when you shoot 10 players and they get hit just like you'd expect, ding ding ding... then a super medic player who is hard to hit comes along and you have him clearly in the hit zone, you click the mouse and it's like your bullets never reach him. 😄 I'm not the only one that has commented on this...I consider Hotspur to be a good player and he has commented on it too with a few players. Some players don't get hit as they should. You know where the hit boxes are by now, you know darn well by now what is a hit and what is a miss. Honestly the difference is pretty HUGE to anyone who has played awhile. If you can't tell the difference between a hit and a miss by now then you haven't been playing enough for a game that's 20 years old... I admit that it's good that we still have people who play. I have to try to be nicer to these players because sometimes I get pretty annoyed by it. They have almost god-like power to deflect your shots. They can die...eventually but only because players wear them down or you catch them on a reload or get them from behind. Sometimes you just get the best of them but it's sure annoying when you face off to players like that, and you do everything right and you still can't hit them.... No one is really THAT good that if you can shoot a room of like 10 guys, there's this magic man who dominates you and everyone else. High ACC doesn't even matter. A good player can tear it up with like 34 ACC or less... it's not a ACC thing...I've come to realize that... I know adren factors into this a little bit but there's more to it than that.

Hi All, I'm putting together a list of maps in the Jay#2 rotation along with their anti-rush status (on/off) and settings (5 min, etc.). If someone has the list of maps, please IM it to me. I can work on a consolidated list which may be used on other servers. Rather than a running thread, I'm thinking a spreadsheet we can edit, maintain, and use to correct gaps. More to come.

Few things I wanted to get off my chest. Maps I've mentioned before and I would like to see other's thoughts on some of the maps that seem to almost always have the same outcome. Venice, Bremen, Streets of Italy, Pirates - I've never seen Allies lose these maps and usually it's in a pretty short time. Definitely way before map time ends. There are maps that one team mostly wins or loses and that's part of the game, but it's not so easy these listed. Braundorf, Supply and Special Delivery, for example. Those maps usually turn out the same way, but not always so quickly. Maybe just look at Spawn times? Also, my timing sucks! I look at the map list and I seem to never get to play many of them. Example, I never seen BBA Castle on there since @Barn!e added it. Game Play When I first started playing Jay 2 full time last year, remember, I was on here and on the server often commenting about how I loved Jay 2 because it was just more competitive and intense where Jay 1 was more of a free-for-all style of playing. Lately, I see a lot of things that frustrated me on Jay 1 starting to show up on Jay 2. 1 map last night - 3 people using M97. A lot more gas and Flame-users. (YES! Those are my pet-peeves, I know!!). Gas, I don't really care about so much and flame is just flame. Whatever. I remember Renegade coming on Jay 2 last summer and running around with Flame and it seemed so out of p[ace for the server and now I see it on every map. At least it's just one per team. I only hate Flame because it blocks vision and I missed a solid heal on @Gameplan to secure the Objective. That's just a personal annoyance. I do have a suggestion in here. Possible to limit M97 to one per team? Just a note, I always had a hard time keeping real life outside of other things and I know I been grouchy lately. My kids' mother dropped my 2 teenage girls on me full time and it's a big financial hit at the time of year that work is the slowest so money is really tight. I mean, did you guys know Teenagers like food?? Who knew??? lol Plus, on the game, I can see age taking it's toll on my gameplay -rapidly - so it's frustrating. My reflexes are slowing, my arm gets cramped (which i9s weird). Getting old SUCKS!!!! I just want to apologize for being a turd occasionally. If I start bitching too much, someone just remind me that I'm getting bitchy. Many times I really don't notice it, but I'll try to catch myself.

I propose that we remove every censored word on Jay2. For starters, we're all adults. No one is offended by a single swear word every now and again. If someone really wants to say a naughty word, they'll just remove or add an extra letter to bypass the filter. Some words are quite silly to filter out. Bot, 180, boot, bone, kanker (literally just cancer in dutch), capo, 172, nazi (what's this game about again?). There are definitely more that I can't think of right now. We have vsays on the server that says the filtered words out loud, I don't really see how saying them in chat is worse. Admins can just mute for insults, regardless of if they use censored words so the censor list seems a bit redundant. I think the filtered words such as the n word should stay filtered. By filtered I mean they are not able to even be sent as the server stops the client from sending the message. The f word (fook pronounced like book) should not be included with this though and should be free to say. Thoughts? Anyone against this proposal, and if so, why?

there is a vsay in the F|A chats, "stand up and show the world that you're a man....something something ku klux klan" i find it disgusting that it's a vsay at all, and want it removed from the vsay list. As the Ku Klux Klan also known as the KKK, is a white supremacist group, dedicated to "white power" and the systematic, psychotic hate of any one who is not white.

Jay 2 doesn't often have enough players to chase the BOTs away and if this has been asked, I apologize for it, but can the number be llowered to when the BOTS disconnect?? Say 5v5 or 6v6 instead of (I think it's 10v10?) whatever it is now?

Hello, I have spoken with @daredevil about this, but I feel it should be a open discussion. The thing is, I know Jay2 is an Adrenaline server, but the combination of FG42+Adrenaline is just too powerful compared to the other weapons. In the hands of a very good player it's a disaster in my opinion. I have seen lately many server regulars and admins grown increasingly frustrated with this situations. I have seen also quite a few people leave the game or the server because of that. My question is (suggested by @CaRaNo), is there a way we can limit Adrenaline together with FG42 in a way that you only get one shot of Adrenaline per life while using the FG42? I know some people will disagree and get upset at this topic, but I also know many people frustrated with this.

is there any way when there is at least 7 players per side that the bots go away, all they do is get in the way and get you killed
