  2. Hello everyone! I thought of a game that could be fun to play What to do is to post screenshot of a map from an unusual (but guessable) place, and othera will have to guess which map the SS is from (Make sure to not reveal the map name from the name of the SS) I have these maps, try to guess which map are they from
  3. Rocket League Type of game- Sports/ Car Soccer Cost- $19.99 USD Available platforms- PC, XBOX 360, PS4 This game encourages teamwork play, which when done correctly can lead to some of the best satisfaction and rewarding feelings. The concept is simple: Car + Boost + soccer ball/hockey puck/ basket ball + Teams= Hilarity and solid competition. If you like sports this game takes you out of the monotony and throws a twist into it. Many cars to choose from for you to get your style, tons and tons of customization options from wheels to paint skins/decals, to hats and more. You can get ultra rare items that everyone is yearning for and trade them, the community for the game is growing rapidly. Loot crates if you're into that stuff, so I recommend you be careful not to dig yourself a hole. The trade scene is awesome in the game/community and crates can be traded for items, just gotta find the right person that has what you're lookin for. Some Pros' -Good community -Challenging and Rewarding -Teamwork based (HEAVILY) -Updated regularly-ish, game is still growing! lots of things can happen! -Dev's listen to community feedback -Growing community Note- This game is a full game, but is still having game modes and such added to it over an extended timeline. I have played 254hrs of this game. One of my favorites so far, tons of fun with friends. Has the option for private party games of up to 4players per team. Different settings for powerups/ vanilla or even super bouncy ball. It's a different game from the typical shooter side of things, it's growin fast, and has a more lighthearted feel.... when you're not getting super competitive.
  4. Name of the game: NieR:Automata Platform: Steam (PC) / PS4 Average price: 60 euros ARPG Copy of the test I published on Steam: Test en Français 1ère partie / Test in English 2nd part: ____________________ NieR Automata est une véritable oeuvre d'art au charme incroyable! ____________________ NieR Automata is a true work of art with incredible charm! Even if technically in terms of graphics we are facing a game not really well optimized nor with textures licked on some part of the environment, despite that, the experience is full of twists and intelligence. Featuring a captivating storyline, rich and dynamic gameplay worthy of the PlatinumGames studio. Original on many aspects, surprising on many others, fascinating to live and listen, NieR: Automata possesses all the assets of a memorable game recalling in a completely different field and different kind Shenmue. And really... our android friends: 2B and A2 (such bodies! yeah, yeah... i know what you gonna say... )As well as 9S, you are not likely to forget them that soon. 19/20 without hesitation for this game (minus one for some textures and the lack of optimization on PC).

  6. 2018 has been interesting so far, so I thought we could play a little game where we share some experiences and get to know each other in the process. If you haven't heard of it yet, "Two truths and a lie" is pretty self-explanatory. You tell two truths (could be two things about you, or things that have happened) and ofc, one lie. People take turns guessing what the lie is- hopefully this will be fun. Alright, so I'll get started: I lost my paycheck after getting drunk at a casino I got pissed off at a slow computer and tossed it out a window I woke up to a SWAT team in my yard Take a guess of which of these experiences is a lie!
  7. I always loved to play Tap Tap Revenge 4 on my old iPod but unfortunately I had to switch to android eventually and the game was iOS only. However with the launch of Tap Tap Reborn in 2016 and Tap Tap Reborn 2 in 2017 new life was given to the franchise, now for android AND iOS. The premise of the game is really simple, you have 3 lines on which noted will appear and all you need to do is press the buttons on the moment there is a note there. Sounds easy right? I downloaded it like a month ago and its now one of my main activities in the train, despite the weird looks I get because my face gets pretty "focussed" so to speak. Just this morning I reached top 20 on one the songs they offer so Im getting even more hyped about the game Anyone else here who is tapping? Or maybe someone who used to play the iOS only version and gave up looking for an Android version? First video is a relatively easy song played on hard difficulty, second video.... well I guess it speaks for itself how hard that one is
  8. Hey guys, Recently after getting this new PC I've started playing some PUBG, definitely a fun game. If you don't know what it is... It's basically a 100 man king-of-the-hill and the last person/team wins (depends on if you're playing solo, duo or squads). You start on a plane and parachute down to any place on the island, trying to pick up as many weapons and other consumables that will help you throughout the battle. The island is huge, so a circle that gets smaller every few minutes forces players into smaller areas, making it easier to find out people. The main goal is to survive by playing tactically using stealth, speed, and communication (if you're playing with a team). In general, the game is REALLY fun, I do recommend anyone who can play it to try it out. Playing with squads makes the game harder, but a lot more fun. It does take a while to get used to the controls and how the system works, but once you play a couple of games it gets much better. The only problem right now are the optimization issues (the game is in early access), and the occasional network lag. I would love to start a squad with some of the members in this community! It can help us get to know how we play, how we communicate, and just help us to get to know each other more.

  11. Day Of Infamy Type of game- Action/Shooter/Hardcore Cost- $19.99 USD Available platforms- PC "The creators of Insurgency present the next installment of their successful FPS platform with Day of Infamy. Featuring tactical close-quarters WWII engagements across a wide range of multiplayer and coop scenarios, Day of Infamy is a highly intense teamwork-rewarding experience. This game encourages teamwork play, which when done correctly can easily turn the tide of the battle and feel rewarding. It does resemble its predecessor but has improved 10 fold with game elements and content. Aside from Insurgency it reminds me of ET a bit. DOI encourages you to think on your feet and use your role correctly. A good officer is nothing without his radiomen, and vice versa. There are 9 different roles/classes at the moment and new armies are being added in as we speak for different fronts. Currently the 3 factions in game are the US, Commonwealth, and Germany. This game is more unforgiving then insurgency and a hell of a good time if you like a challenge. Some Pros' -Good community -Accurate battles depicting historic campaigns -Iron sights for days =D -Teamwork based -Updated regularly -Dev's listen to community feedback -A wide variety of maps -Growing community Note- This game is not complete yet so there are things that can be subject to change. Though the release should be coming at the end of the quarter. I have played since early access first came to steam. From my experience in the game I give it a 9/10. If you like WW2 games, hardcore shooters, and team oriented combat. Then I definitely recommend this game to you. If anyone has any questions about the game feel free to ask me. If anyone is looking to buy the game take a look at NWI twitch account https://www.twitch.tv/newworld to watch some combat if you are unsure about the game. 12. So I'm so glad that they finally made a second Mirror's Edge as it is one of my favourite games. It's not a sequel to the old game, but a reboot. I made a video of a side mission called Drone Work, and I wanted to share with you guys how the game looks so far. Unfortunately the quality isn't the greatest because it was an clip uploaded through the ps4, not with an actual recorder. Quality only goes to 720p, sorry about that. Hope you guys enjoy it, and I highly suggest you guys try the game! Name of the Game: Mirror's Edge Catalyst It's a first person shooter parkour/freerunning game Cost: Probably like 70-80 dollars. Available Platforms: PC, PS4, XBOX One Mirror's Edge Catalyst is an upcoming open-world action-adventure platform video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a reboot of 2008's Mirror's Edge and will revolve around Faith's origin and her attempt to overthrow a totalitarian conglomerate of corporations who rule the city of Glass. Pros: Amazing graphics, realistic parkour moves, great gameplay Cons: Controls are a bit awkward at first, some bugs (just the beta) Since it is my favourite game, or a reboot of it, I rate it at least a 9 out of 10

  15. Camel 101 have announced Syndrome, a brand new horror game that they are making that they hope will channel classic survival horror games that have all but died out in the market in recent years. Syndrome has a typical premise – waking up on a spaceship and discovering that things have gone horribly wrong – but it is promising a return to the kind of psychological horror that used to define the genre in the first place. In Syndrome, you can’t (and shouldn’t) always take your enemy head on in combat- a lot of the times, running and hiding effectively are the best course of action available to you. In Syndrome, everything is scarce, so make sure you make what you get really count- conserve your resources, and save them for a rainy day. Syndrome will be out in the second quarter of 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux. Source http://gamingbolt.com/
  16. The voice actress behind one of The New Order's key characters has strongly suggested a new game in the first-person shooter series in development. Alicja Bachleda-Curuś played Anya Oliwa in Machine Games' The New Order, and in an interview with Polish TV said she was working on a "second one". Our friends at Eurogamer Poland translated the relevant quotes, and here's what she told Polish TV station TVN: "I'm working on a video game, first part of which I have already made. Now we're making a second one, which will take two more years. "I played this game as a child. I was very happy when I got to the point where I could shoot Hitler." It sounds pretty clear cut, but it's worth noting publisher Bethesda has yet to confirm a New Order sequel. We've asked for comment. A new Wolfenstein perhaps wouldn't come as much of a surprise, given The New Order was generally well received and sold well. Back in May 2014, The New Order creative director Jens Mathies told a Reddit AMA said Machine Games had plenty of ideas for a sequel and would love to do one. Source http://www.eurogamer.net/
  17. Hey there, I want to give you an insight to Tripwire Interactive's Killing Floor 2. Let's start the show! Genre: Killing Floor 2 is an FPS in a horror environment. You and your team try to survive waves of Zombies (aka "Zeds"). There are no P2W models, the developers even stated they will not tolerate people selling custom mods or maps, all is free and to be enjoyed limitlessly :-) State of release: Open beta / early access. This is a broad description, but the game has very few bugs left to patch. What's still missing are more characters, more weapons and even more maps to play. A huge content buff will happen when the final release hits, because the developers let you build & share your own custom maps. In Killing Floor 1, those custom maps had godlike fun to offer. Progression & Characters: Where there is team, there is division of tasks. The different available characters are named Perks, and at the moment there are five to chose from. This list is just a beginning, many Perks will be added and the developers also 'carry over' Perks from other games. Example is the Pyro, know of Team Fortress 2, which was voted into Killing Floor by it's community. The berzerker (aka "zerk" or "zerker") - The close-quarter combat specialist. Takes less damage, while it out face-to-face with the Zeds! Starts with a combat-shovel, wants to get his Pulverizer or Eviscerator. The commando - If assault weapons are your thing - this is your Perk. Better at spotting cloaked enemies, too! Your man for AK-47's and SCAR-H. The medic - Run fast, heal your friends, use cutting edge weapons (that's a pun) - and kill Zeds as well! His heals are unmatched with the AoE medic grenade, but dishes out damage just fine. The support - Shotguns for the mayhem, the ability to carry more - and great with a welder too! Resources: By helping the team, shooting Zombies or completing waves, you get XP and cash. XP levels up your Perk and persists when you leave / join servers. Cash is only for the current match, where you can buy equipment and ammo for your rounds. The shop is up long enough between waves, has a nice waypoint to guide you to it. If you happen to find weapons u dont need, u can either drop them for the team or sell them for cash. Perk levelling system: Getting XP is to get levels, and at levels 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 you get to choose between 2 new upgrades. Each Perk has 5 passive bonusses up when at max. level of 25, some benefit teamplay more than others. Deaths have no impact on your XP but will remove some cash. The UI: 1) Distance to trader 2) Wave-counter and counter of Zombies to slay before wave is over 3) XP-bar, Perk info, info about self-heal (syringe), Armor and Health, 4) Ammo in Magazine, Ammo left outside of magazine, toggle of firemode, 'nade count and state of battery for flashlight 5) your Cash account 6) info about music playing 7) not enabled in this screenshot, but u can have crosshair Weapons: Are characterized by damage, rate of fire, spread, weight etc. Your character can only carry limited weight. There are hitzones that increase or reduce damage (so, headshots pay off). Difficulties: There is normal, hard, suicidal and hell on earth to choose from, as well as map length (short = 5 waves, medium = 7 waves, long = 10 waves). The zombies don't just get more HP and damage with higher difficulties, they also feature new attacks, faster movement and ofcourse a bigger number to slay. The maps also feature less medpacks / supplies and cash rewards in higher difficulties, but reward you with higher XP gains. Gameplay: There's a lobby with chat or ingame voice to coordinate your team, where you select your Perk and upgrades. Once all is set, you directly start with wave 1 that you have to beat with your starter equipment, which usually is pretty easy. If you happen to beat all the waves of your difficulty, there's an additional BOSS-wave. It spawns the Boss (aka "Hans Völter") and some minor Zombies alongside. Beating the boss with at least 1 teammember alive give another chunk of XP to all. If by defeat or by win, the map will be over and you put back into lobby. There is a special bullet-time trigger, where everything is slowed and the screen turns greyscale. You can look around normally, but shots and zombies are super slowed. Any zombie you kill can trigger zed-time, based on game-dice rolls in the background. Feels like matrix. The commando Perk has the upgrade to make zed-time last longer. Beginner tips: You are not restricted to use the weaponry for your Perk, basically, a medic could use the heavy melee weapon of the zerker to gain zerker-XP while having the bonusses from medic Perk. Therefor, it's popular that all team members carry a medic pistol to heal each other. Headshots pay off twice! You save ammo and the zombie is dead faster. Don't buy upgrades you don't need first, like armor for the first waves. Save for the important items. If you have all the parts you need, share your money by pressing B (default). Don't solo, splitting from your team is a bad move. Get that Shotgun for boss waves. If you can't kill it, just hit it. You will get the XP and cash when it dies. Constantly look around /up and down/, especially in Zed-time. And well, communicate :-) General note: Yes, this is early access. Progress will be wiped by the developers before release, so at the moment I just play it casually. You can add me on steam if you like (10taclezor).
  18. Name: Torchlight II Type: RPG Cost: Honestly don't know. VIggy bought it for me. Never have played Torchlight, the original, I was weary that I would not enjoy this game. It sounded lame, devoid of promise and action, lackluster in the realm of adventure and fps, etc. I'm sure I could come up with more reasons and excuses not to play. Yet played I did. And with not internet this game soon became my friend. I'd play for hours delving into changing my pet into other creatures, enchanting my weapons and in general being a badass killing stuff. And as the hours progressed the more I enjoyed the game and picked up on the little nuances that were slighted. For example there was a reference in one part of the map to Silence of the Lambs, in which you place a bottle in a bucket and lower into a pit. Rewards?! By all means, gold rained from the skies. Who knew that being a pyscho killer for a second could reap such rewards. The game is pretty basic. It harnesses the general controls of a,w,s,d, ctrl, space. You start your game on a quest to find the Alchemist and regain control of the spirit gods (in a sense) with challenges and fights more epic along the way. As with all games you level up, eventually reaching the maximum level of 100. Which is unfortunate, because you just want to keep playing and playing, leveling up and becoming more powerful. Along the way you encounter bosses and mega-bosses, reaping rewards by the plenty. But what do you do with so many goodies? How do you decide what to use and what to sell? Well that's the beauty of the game. You have to be strategic; you have to learn what works best for you. Did I mention you get to choose between four characters all with their own specialty. You have the Embermage, whose strength lies in spells and use of wands and staffs. The Engineer, whose expertise of swords and large manual weapons can kill foes easily. The Berserker, who is just downright crazy calling upon the spirit of the wolf to bring down his enemies. Lastly, but not least, there is the Outlander who finds solace in bringing down foes with projectile weapons (guns, bows, you know). With these charcaters you develop skill trees, spells, and specials. Certain armor and weapons can only be used by your class, and in general get better and better as you go along. There are many types of weapons, from the basic to rare. Many weapons have the ability to insert gems or socketables, which give it special features, like calling dead foes forth to fight for you or rain acid and fire. As you progress through the game you really have to decide what to do, what to wear, what powers to harness. etc. But enough yimmer-yamering. Buy the game and experience the thrill for yourself. Pros: - Maps are large to allow for exploration and often times have hidden quests and rooms that allow for more loot and experience. - The Phase Beast offers challenges that usually generate large rewards. - The option of sharing items between all characters is a plus. Or you can be greedy and keep them for yourself. - You get a pet, who often times is more powerful then you, which helps in boss fights. - Depending on your class, when you die you don't have to start over. - There is multiplayer. - When you finish you have the option of starting over and over or go to mapworks. Cons: - Maps are large, so if you die, expect to walk all the way back. And you will die, many times. - You have to read what your armor, fish and weapons do. Sometimes they can kill you. - Bosses are generally easy to beat. - There are no extra levels past 100 so you have to really think about what skills you want to max. I'd give this a 9 out of 10.
  19. The Action RPG Genre Action RPGs (or ARPGs) are usually played in the isometric view, where you move your character with the mouse, instead of with WASD. Players familiar with the Diablo series will recognize the control scheme. Action RPGs involve killing vast hordes of enemies with a variety of different attacks or spells. Enemies are small and weak, which the player usually kills very quickly. Of course, there are also boss enemies, with special attack patterns/attributes. ARPGs are based around the progression of your character. As you continue through ARPGs, you gain new items and abilities as you level up and build your character. The campaign/story progression is generally divided up into quests, acts, and difficulties. Path of Exile itself In Path of Exile you get to build your own unique characters as you go through the game. Path of Exile is set in a fantasy world, and your character is an Exile, sent to the grim continent of Wraeclast. I won't spoil anything past that, because the lore of Path of Exile is actually quite interesting. The game is broken up into 3 Acts and 3 Difficulties. An Act is a series of quests, and you go through them sequentially on a character. As Acts progress, enemies get harder. There's also a big difficulty gap as difficulty progresses. Each difficulty level, you will go through Acts 1, 2, and 3 again, but: the enemies are higher level you will receive penalties the items are better and you get different quest rewards You keep your character/items/etc going into the next difficulty. It goes like this: Normal Act 1, N Act 2, N Act 3 -> Cruel Act 1, C Act 2, C Act 3 -> Merciless Act 1, M Act 2, M Act 3. After that, you can start doing maps, which are purely endgame and would require a whole new post to explain. Also, the layout of most zones is randomly generated. Instancing and Party Play In Path of Exile, everything except for towns is instanced. You will otherwise only encounter other players if they are in your party. There is no content in the game that technically requires you to play in a party (you can even play solo in party leveling race events, if you are so inclined). The max party size is 6. New players may not notice that you can also find or create public party through the Noticeboard in each town. In story mode players can not fight each other. The exceptions are PvP instances (you join these, they are not part of the normal game world) and a quest in Act 2, where if other players in your party decide to kill or help certain NPCs and you make the opposite choice, you will have to fight each other. As such, don't do this quest with players that you don't trust. There is an arena-style PvP area, accessible through an NPC once you finished the game in normal difficulty. PvP is rather un-balanced, as the developers stated they are toning the strenghts of the builds around PvE. Leagues Path of Exile has multiple Leagues, which work kind of like "realms" in MMO's. There are Standard and Hardcore Leagues. You can not play with characters in a different League. Some Leagues are permanent, some are temporary, lasting anywhere from 4 months to even a minutes (in extreme cases). Standard has no special properties. It is a permanent League, and the most popular. In Hardcore Leagues, if you die once, your character is converted to the Standard League. A note about death in Path of Exile: When you die past normal difficulty, you lose experience (up to 10%) from your current level (it will not de-level you, though. It just removes experience from your current experience bar. If you have 0% experience for that level, it does nothing). There have been several temporary leagues with their respective challenge levels. Each league also has an own economy, so past wealths will not transfer to a new temporary league. A character that dies in any Hardcore League will be moved to the Standard League. Any character that dies in a Standard League stays in that League. If you survive the duration of a temporary Hardcore League, you will be moved to the permanent-duration Hardcore League. If you die in the softcore variant of a temporary league, for example, you will stay there until it ends, and then you will be moved to Standard. The shorter Leagues are called "races". Players compete within a certain amount of time to gain as many experience points as possible, even if they are not in a party. You compete with everyone else in the race (though rewards are given out per class, not over all classes). If you die in a Hardcore race, you will be moved to Standard. Remember, Leagues are by character, not by account/player. You don't have to commit your account to Standard or Hardcore, for example. When you create a character, you choose the League that they will start in. Itemization Path of Exile's items, as I said before, are randomly generated. Besides traditional stats like many people are used to (something like "+10 life"), items in Path of Exile have sockets and links. You put Skill Gems (your character has no innate abilities besides Default Attack) into your gear, and modify them with Support Gems. Sometimes Support Gems make Skills functionally different, some increase or decrease properties of a skill. You can only put a Gem in a socket of the matching color, and you can only support Skill Gems if the sockets are linked together. Certain items, indicated by their stat requirements, have a bias towards certain socket colors. Crafting Path of Exile uses a sophisticated, but RNG-driven system for crafting. There are set "recipes" you complete to receive a determined exchange for. Then there's the real crafting, where you apply various Orbs on yourself or your items. Currency There is no Auction House or Market Board in Path of Exile. Instead, you use the forums, web tools, and trade channels for buying and selling items. There is no "gold" or "credits" either. In Path of Exile, there are currency items which you can trade with players in exchange for items or different currencies. All currency items have a use as well. For example, the Chromatic Orb re-randomizes the socket colors of an item. Trading can be a bit of a hassle, but you get the opportunity to interact with the player you're trading with, and you can also barter and haggle. Some players are more receptive to this than others, of course. Builds and Mechanics This is "the big one," and in my opinion, Path of Exile's main attraction. Path of Exile has a massive passive skill tree with tons of different stats to put points into. Gear has tons of different kinds of stats, and there are a huge amount of Skill Gems and Support Gems to play with. You can make your character completely unique, if you want to. However, I think that this is also the most intimidating aspect for a new Path of Exile player. It's very likely that your first character/build will be pretty terrible, and if you're on Hardcore, it may die very early on. There are 7 classes to chose from! Each character is associated with one or more of the 3 main stats (Strength, Intelligence or Dexterity). Marauder (Strength) Templar (Strength + Intelligence hybrid) Witch (Intelligence) Shadow (Intelligence + Dexterity hybrid) Ranger (Dexterity) Duelist (Dexterity + Strength hybrid) Scion, the new class, unlockable upon completing Normal difficulty. (Strength + Dexterity + Intelligence hybrid) The difference between classes is their starting area on the passive tree, as well as their quest rewards, and starting stats. You get passive skill points every time you level up, and as rewards from certain quests. Each class is on the same passive tree though. Provided that you have enough passive skill points, any specific passive skill tree node is possible to attain as any class. I highly recommend that new players get to know the passive tree. The passive skill tree also has "keystones" which are special nodes which tend to come with significant advantages and disadvantages. You can tell if something is a Keystone passive node because it's a lot bigger. There are also "notable" passive nodes, which tend to have bigger bonuses than normal nodes. They're slightly bigger than normal nodes. So, a build is made up of your class/passive tree, items, and Gems. You might want to start simple, but there are a ton of build guides out there. Seeing as the Passive Skill Tree just changed with release, you may need to wait for guides to be updated, though. For example, if you want a really simple build, you could make a Marauder which primarily uses a 2-handed weapon and Ground Slam, who stacks Life, Armor, and 2-handed weapon damage increases. The general methodology behind making a build is to choose a few skills, and scale their power as best as possible using a combination of strategic choices based on class, passive skills, gems, and items. As such, many people will end up creating a lot of alts in this game, especially because resetting all/most of your passives is difficult. (Cont'd in Comments) You can get a glimpse at it here. News / actual state of the game The game has undergone several expansions and temporary leagues up to now. In a few week's time, a new act will be released. With the new act come new skills, new items, new bossfights and a major update to the netcode / lag issues. It's called The Awakening and is in closed Beta to test and iterate all the new things coming. Have a look here. P2Win vs Free2Play A big positive in my opinion: all the game content is accessible, free and unlimited. Only things you get by supporting the developers is cosmetic effects or storage space. Storage space is a convenience, and you can wait to get it at a time the developers run discounts on them. Guilding There is the possiblity to be in a guild. Sadly, there are no guild-specific contents yet. Guilds have a separate stash and act as a small community of helpers and friends. I hope they will add something to guilds soon.
  20. Both games included with GeForce GTX 980 or GTX 970. Nvidia has announced that purchases of its GeForce GTX 980 or GTX 970 graphics cards will include a free copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman: Arkham Knight. In an official statement, the hardware manufacturer said both games benefit from Nvidia GameWorks, its middleware software suite that brings together rendering, visual effects, and physics development modules. “Both Batman: Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt raise the bar for graphics, rendering two very different open worlds with a level of detail that we could only dream of last decade," the company said. “On the PC, each game is also bolstered by Nvidia GameWorks--increasing fidelity, realism, and immersion." The Witcher 3 release date was recently delayed by three months but is now expected to ship on May 19. Meanwhile, the Batman: Arkham Knight release date is set for June 23. Publisher Warner Bros. recently responded to criticism over the pricing of its $40 (£32.99) season pass by detailing some of the content that will be offered to purchasers, such as a prequel campaign featuring Batgirl, character skins, and additional story missions. 21. Initially released for PC in 2013 through Steam Early Access, M2H Game Studio and Blackmill Games this week launched the final version of their World War 1 multiplayer first-person shooter, Verdun. The game is billed as the "first multiplayer FPS set in a realistic First World War setting." You can buy it now on Steam for $20.69, a 10 percent markdown from the game's normal price--that's good through May 5. Since the game's initial debut more than a year ago, developers have been able to improve the game's visuals and implement some features fans asked for. "Over the course of the year, many good suggestions were made and put into the game," the developer said. "Whilst not every good suggestion made it in, we intend to add a few more in the near future." M2H and Blackmill also announced that Verdun will come with a free bonus map called Aisne. This map takes players to a location in Northern France that saw heavy fighting at on the onset of the war. The developers also explained that they will add free expansions to Verdun over time, including Belgian and American troops for the Allies, as well as German troops for the other side. A full roadmap for future content releases is available here. Verdun aims to offer "realistic" and "gritty" gameplay, featuring weapons authentic to the period and a bullet physics system that requires players to lead their targets to hit them. You play as part of a squad, fighting through trenches, and the developers say teamplay is "at the heart" of the overall experience. Verdun has even enlisted the help of historians to ensure that the game is "as historically accurate" as possible. Player uniforms, gun models, and maps were all designed to be authentic and accurate to the time period, while the game also includes "realistic sounds and accurate native voices." 22. My (terrible) first look at Dying Light. Type: Horror Survival, Action, FPS Dev: Techland Studios Publisher: Warner Bros Steam Price: $59.99 Lowest: $45 @ Greenmangaming Bundled?: Never Pros: Amazing Graphics. Parkour is fun. Night time is terrifying. Cons: Slow build up. Feels a little like Dead Island. No character options in multiplayer (i.e everyone looks like clones). As of this time poor performance on many rigs. http://store.steampowered.com/app/239140/
  23. Sup! Thought I might start doing Lets Play series for shits'n'giggles. Something to do to actually beat games. I tried this a long time ago, and fell out of it. I posted in this section, because at the end of the full play-through I plan on doing a review. Shall post up each new part as they come along. Today we have Saints Row the Third! A great open world GTA clone that focuses more on balls to the wall insanity rather than hardcore realism. (0:00-8:29 = talking/preamble. 8:30+ = Gameplay) Type: Open world, third-person, action Dev: Volition Publisher: Deepsilver Steam Price: $14.99 Lowest: $3.74 Bundled?: 1 time. http://store.steampowered.com/app/55230/
  24. Type: Psychological Horror, FPS Dev: Krillbite Studio Publisher: Krillbite Studio Steam Price: $19.99 Lowest: $6.79 Bundled?: 1 time. http://store.steampowered.com/app/250620/ Pros: Interesting spin on the horror genre. 25. Note: This is Old. It should have been published long ago, but it looks like I forgot to do so. Better late than never, I guess. A (badly done) Let's Play: Type: Horror, FPS, Dev: Monolith Productions Publisher: Vivendi/Warner Bros. Steam Price: 54.99 for Fear Pack (Includes all 3 games + expansions) Lowest: $13.71 for Fear Pack (Individual games vary) Bundled?: 2 times. Wait for the sale! (happens at least twice a year) http://store.steampowered.com/sub/12357/ Pros: Amazing AI. Great psychological Horror. Fun action sequences. Interesting story. Cons: Slow motion can make things too easy at times. The latter games lose scare factor. Expansions don't add too much and aren't considered canon by the devs. Recommended?: 1+2 Definitely. 3 is hit or miss.
