  1. definitely attacking. spawncamping as defender is superboring because there is no map progression. Spawncamping as attacker at least gets the map to progress and maybe defenders can do better next spawnpoint

  3. the guy I was asking did have servercfg but that is based on a private mod that would require certain lua's he doesnt have. I could still try to gather what I can but he isnt too comfortable about it so I could also drop it since it isnt a ready for use cfg anyways

  5. I'm working on it already. Servercfg was based on a modded version of etpub so I might need to get that also

  7. thats why I'm suggesting 1 server for both gamemodes. The most popular hns and tj servers are still empty a lot of the time. But maybe if you combine it it will create a nice uniqueness that makes people want to come back. Will see if I can get my hands on a servercfg. Still in good contact with the leader of a clan who used to run a hns server

Strongly disagree, would personally prefer to get spawntimes around 16/24 but I dont mind 14/18 as a middle ground In itself not a bad idea but autoshuffle makes players constantly switch team anyways so I dont see the point People voted for a map to be played, if you decide to vote that map away then why would we have mapvoting in the first place? Not sure what you mean here to be honest Yes I agree. A lot of glitches are harmless in my opinion. Only certain clipping can be truely unfair although even that is counterable in most cases. For example I think the spot on the rooftops on Caen should be alllowed as it doesnt pose a major threat but maybe the sphereclip on marrakech should remain disallowed because you only explosives can do damage to you. I think the panzer is fine as it is on hc. most ppl use it to get cheap 1 man kills anyways so hardly anyone shoots from so far away that the new trajectory would actually have an influence

  11. It is an issue that has been known for years. Im not currently capable of watching your demo but Ill assume you do it the same way that I know. The problem seems to be that the windows and door of the little room holding the construction parts get blown up by the dynamite that allies plant instead of the event of the walls breaching (dont know if eventhandling is possible like this in ET but it seems like spaghetti code to me). However unlike the main entrance itself the little room can get blown up by dynamites from either team. So if anyone wants to fix the mapscript issue my best guess is to either completely edit on which event the room gets opnened, or make it so that only allied dynamites have an effect on the room
  12. autoshuffle is fine. Surely it doesnt produce the most optimal solution, however not a single option does. I think on HC/Silent the autoshuffle happens every 3 maps (?) and that is perfectly fine for keeping the teams nice and fresh. Shuffle definitely shouldnt be accesible by voting because it takes a bit of understanding to realise when teams are uneven, why teams are uneven, how teams will be more even, etc etc. Same goes for lvl 12/14 admins, most admins wont have a good clue as to when he or she should shuffle, this is proven by looking at how lvl 12/14 admins tend to handle !putteam as well. Once these adins get a hang of how to putteam properly they are already making good progress towards a promotion (the way I see it) and therefore shouldnt need to worry. "Put good players the the losing side manually": Unfortunately it isnt always that easy. On jaymod, where I have spent my last couple of months I have noticed that the problem doesntsolely come from uneven teams but also from tunnel vision. If teams were uneven for a while until a change happens the losing side for some reason decided that they "gave up". Meaning that eventhough an admin might have made the perfect move as to who should be put to the losing side teams might still appear to be uneven due to the one side playing even more like jackasses compared to how they usually play, whilest the previously winning side is still full of confidense making them play better. In my opinion this issue isnt further tacklable aside from waiting for the next map so a mental reset will occur. All in all if people are reasonless enough to create a mental block by losing in a videogame than no further help can be given LOL
