EwilTwin Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Today when i played in silent server, everything was fine and normal. configs, ping etc. But then i visited jaymod server.. went back to Silent. and now everything is f***ed. My ping is 150-160, used to be 112-125 My name colours changed, All my settings reseted.. I got this same problem when i installed win10.. I know that i can make my settings (FOV,aiming.etc) how they were, but that ping issue.. i dont remember how to fix that. anyone can help? i really hope i dont have to uninstall ET..but that lag what is caused by that high ping, is making et unplayable for me. I know that I had problems in the past where my config got messed up when I switched between different mods without restarting ET. Leader RedBaird Posted August 23, 2017 Leader Share Posted August 23, 2017 Not a solution, but I advise everybody to make copies of all the etconfig.cfg files in all of their profile folders in etmain and all of the mods' folders. If an etconfig.cfg file gets corrupted for any reason, then you can then restore the copy. I have had the WTF experience of joining a server to find all the settings changed to the defaults for that mod. Sometimes only the mod's etconfig is changed and sometimes it is the etmain/profiles/playerName etconfig that has changed. If you find yourself in EvilTwin's situation, you can try killing the ET.exe process and then rebooting. Perhaps your config file(s) were not changed, but only the settings in RAM were and were not written to file yet or at all. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
