Lost my best friend last night

Tonight I had to say goodbye to a loyal friend and guardian to my family. Hero passed away @ 11:55 pm on Tuesday, March Third in my arms.

Those we love don't go away,

They walk beside us every day.

Losing a dog is something else man. I think you're so right, they walk beside us every day. f*** yeah! There's a quote that always cheered me up in times like these:

I lost my Lucy on May 28th  so I know exactly how you feel.  I keep seeing her in our house all the time.  Had her for 14.5 years.

I hope you find the peace you need.  I am starting to heal some now.  It takes more time than people think.

I hate the way life is sometimes.  I wish our pets could live 50 years, but they don't.

So grab those memories and hold on tight.
