  1. Suggestion for silent : replace the 30min oasis version with the 15min version. (maybe extendible after blowing the old city wall) Reason: It takes ages, and is usually a complete 30min of playtime on oasis which results in massive campfests and become boring after , say, the first 10 min.
  2. The chat sounds work perfectly fine for me. Can you hear other sounds in-game, such as hit-sounds / headshot 'ting' / menu music? For explosions, you have to have : cg_wolfparticles 1
  3. What do you mean by getting stuck? As in does this only happen while in a server (in a particular server?) or does it happen elsewhere in ET as well?
  4. As evident from your screenshot, you are running at 29 FPS, not sure if that was a particular instant, or that is a common thing for you. I would recommend trying lower graphic settings to get better FPS, unless you've decided to cap it at that for some reason. Plus, from your lag-o-meter, you do seem to have an unstable ping.
  5. As for the couldn't exec: Make sure you are saving the file as a ".cfg" file and not of other types. Some text editors will save in plain text format even if you specify a name including ".cfg". For such cases, while saving, there should an option to save the file as a certain type. For example, in Notepad for Windows, in the save dialogue, right beneath the "File name" text box, there is a "Save as type" option. If you are using notepad, then you must select "All Files" as the desired option. This way, the file is saved as a ".cfg" file. As for the display, what are the screen resolution values in your cfg? Based on the information you provided, you might want to try these: /r_mode -1 /r_fullscreen 1 /r_customwidth 1280 /r_customheight 1024 /vid_restart
  6. Happy Birthday mAyur!

  7. The only FF movie I like was Tokyo Drift, and I'm damn excited for FF7, when they finally return to that scene.
  8. I don't know much about free programs, but as for paid, you can try Fraps / DXtory (DXtory has the a free version, but I have never tried it)...
  9. I believe it is only available in NQ mod. And no, it isn't just graphic style, you actually drop an ammo clip on the ground, although I'm not sure if you drop your current clip, or a full clip. Pretty useful imo.
  10. Hi there. Currently, your servers have both big and small sized maps, and when there are a large number of people playing in the server, the small maps turn into clusterf***s. I know, that if one gets annoyed by this, they might as well go spec (not recommended as you might as well be kicked by admins due to server being full) or join another server, but sometimes, the player might want to stay in your servers due to its settings, and not risk having to wait out for an empty slot the next map. What I propose, is to have two (or multiple) map sets, wherein, the map set to be used by the server would be determined by the number of active players in the server, for example: Low amount of people (10-20 acctive players) -> Maps such as supply, oasis, goldrush, adlernest, beach etc.. High amount of people (35+ active players) -> Maps like Minas, Castle attack, Fueldump, Venice, etc.. However, I do not know if it is possible to configure a server to follow such map sets.
  11. Well, if you would want me to decide between Firefox and chrome, I would go with Firefox as it is less resource hungry than chrome. Chrome runs a total of 13 processes, while Firefox runs 3 processes. But personally, I use Cometbird, which is a browser based on Firefox. The reason I prefer Cometbird, is the inbuilt media downloader (you can download videos from any website, without the use of any 3rd part software).
  12. Regarding your FPS problem, have you tried lower graphic settings? Lags can be caused due to numerous reasons, however the primary one is your connection to the server. While running ET, try and close all other programs that might use the internet. It could also be a server side issue (that is very rare).
