Best late 60's and 70's Rock

16 January 2017 - 02:37 AM

Here I'll regularly post some of the best Rock songs from the late 60's and 70's so all you rock lovers can discover or rediscover some of the greatest songs from that era.

You're welcome to put your favourite songs here too.

So let's start !

Alphaloki's gaming rig

11 January 2017 - 06:32 AM

4K Screen and two keyboards. The one below is an old one which I only use for gaming and the other one is a brand new mechanical Model M replica from Unicomp which I mainly use for coding and writing. Each of the three USB harddrives has 2TB of HD movies :)

The gaming rig is guarded by the three Star Wars troopers : The Snowtrooper, the Stormtrooper and the Flametrooper.

Any modern FPS like ET ?

10 January 2017 - 11:10 PM

I'm posting this here in the ET section because I want to specifically ask the question to ET players. Do you know if there is a modern PC FPS (i.e. with nice graphics) which comes close to the ET experience ? I've tried BF4 but didn't like it. I've also read about COD4 Remastered but the reviews are pretty bad. I like fast-paced multiplayer shooters and don't care about solo campaigns.

Any suggestions welcome !

ET sound pack submission

10 January 2017 - 03:32 AM

Alright, I've just finished creating a sound pack for ET so here it is for you all to review :)

I have ripped all the sounds from the movie Ilsa She Wolf of the SS (1974). I really think they fit the game perfectly and would be a great addition to one or several FA servers.

All sounds were encoded exactly like the in-game vanilla sounds, that is 22050Khz, 32-bit, mono. I've also equalized them to make sure they are at the same volume as the game sounds so that the volume is neither too high or too low.

They can easily be divided in two sections :

-Acknowledgments

-Taunts & congrats

The pack is only 5.2Mb so it's pretty lightweight.

I hope you like the sounds ! Enjoy :)
