  1. This is one of my favorite shows as well. While we were waiting for the last (half) season, we started to watch from the beginning. Such good writing. Sad when it was over, but they did a really good job with the ending. Especially considering that the last season was in doubt (ie, they thought season 4 was the end...and didn't know if they'd have another at the time it was written).
  2. And they keep coming. http://www.space.com/25530-earthsize-exoplanet-kepler-186f-habitable-discovery.html
  3. Man those are really amazing. I have no where near the kind of skill needed to do this. Thanks for sharing! But if I had a wall available, I'd consider letting someone do something cool with it.
  4. And what do ya know? An Earth-like planet was found orbiting in the habitable zone of a distant star. All using the same data as the original story. I bet we find a lot more once all of the data is collected and compiled. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2588005/Has-Nasa-new-Earth-Astronomer-discovers-sized-planet-Goldlocks-zone-host-alien-life.html
  5. I agree. The article also touches on this, and as I recall, smaller planets require more data so even though we are only half way through the data we aren't half way through the "small" planets. I'm going to go out on a limb here: I don't think a "warp or hyperdrive thingy" is impossible.

  7. +1 for me. I saw a P85 Model S on Tuesday parked next to the building I work at. This is the $100K+ model with the largest battery pack (85kWh) and higher output motor (well above 400 ft-lbs as I recall). Rumor has it that the next gen Tesla (not the more afforadable one ) will have an even larger optional battery. Aside from the P85, I'd take a Nissan GTR... nothing too super exotic.
  8. Hi all, I read the below article recently and was blown away by the number of new planets found (715!!). I remember years ago when the first planet was discovered outside of our solar system. And now we have nearly found 2,000 of them, within just our own galaxy. And they seem to be getting smaller and smaller as our detection methods increase. http://seattle.cbslocal.com/2014/02/27/nasa-announces-mother-lode-of-new-planets/ When do you think we'll find another Earth like planet in the hospitable zone, with water, etc? I'm starting to feel like it's going to be a real possibility soon.
  9. The one time I've checked TS, the people there weren't even playing, just chatting. My excuse for not being on TS more is not having my headset plugged in more often (I just use speakers most of the time). I'll try to check more often.
  10. Wow, thanks for the nice reception! I'm glad to be here.
  11. Hey all, I'm new here to the forums, but have been playing on the FA ET servers for a while. I'm looking to be a bit more active on the forums and get to know more of you all. I have been playing ET since it came out (back when it only had one map!) and still enjoy it. Oh, and I do not like sports. And my name is Rich. Thanks!
