  1. Happy Birthday phil21191!

  2. All depends on budget and the final hardware requirements for GTA5 but this will have you covered. If you want to overclock the CPU then get a 4770k instead of the 4770. You will probably need to swap and change a few things depending on availability from your local retailer/etailer YOUR BASKET 1 x Intel Core i7-4770 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £239.99 1 x Asus HD 7970 DirectCU II TOP 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **FREE SHIPPING** £239.99 1 x Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (PV316G213C1K) £129.95 1 x Gigabyte Z87M-D3H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £97.99 1 x XFX Pro 650W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £71.99 1 x BitFenix Ronin Tower Case - Black £69.95 1 x Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler £65.99 1 x Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD1002FAEX) HDD £64.99 1 x Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card £59.99 1 x OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99 Total : £1,055.81 (includes shipping : FREE).
  3. A nice little tax rebate means out with the Phenom II 955BE and in with this:
  4. Seasonic are regarded as the best PSUs in the market. Many of the Top end branded stuff is also manufactured by Seasonic, although corsair have dropped the ball and are now using CWT
  5. You don't need a modular PSU to get need cabling. Just take a look at my latest rebuild of my PC in the showcase section
  6. Air doesn't give the performance or noise levels I'm after, parvum is the word if you want watercooled itx
  7. The setup in the ante wasn't particular neat but that was because I was using a case that was never meant for watercooling. The bit fenix ronin on the other hand is perfect as it will take a thick 240mm rad in the top a monster thick 240 in the front then a 120 at the bottom and the rear. Price isn't so much a factor I find. Its down to planning and having the right case. Its going to cost me about £250 to get the cpu and graphics card watercooled with 2x240mm rads in this case, and will give me a very neat loop. The only downside is my GTX460 as there is no full cover gpu block for it.
  8. Couple of slightly better pics showing the hdd cage and support bar removed. Internet cookie to the person that spots what I forgot to do. Edit: and ignore the shoddy looking fan controller, I have a sythe Kaze Master on its way
  9. Okay, either way as the drive is currently formatted for a Apple/Mac filesystem it won't work for windows. However you could move all the data across to your mac format the drive as NTFS then move the data back on to the external hard drive. This may mean you lose the ability to use the password protection but it will allow you to use it between a mac and pc/windows freely
  10. The password protected bit is completely irrelevant as it will be formatted for Mac file systems which windows doesn't handle without additional software. Do you have any software that you have install to use the password protection?
  11. Try hitting the insert key when it starts doing it that could be the cause?
  12. Does it have any data on it that you need to remove, or is it new? The only think that makes it mac specific is that it comes pre-formatted for HFS+ instead if exFat/Fat32/NTFS other than that it is just a generic USB 3.0 external HDD (USB 3.0 drives will work on USB 2.0 at reduced speed)
  13. Mine would have been a 300mhz Cyrix with 16mb of ram I believe (1998) , can't anymore detail than that though
  14. Rofl. Was going to say something but I think it might have been a little out of order. Minecraft is probably the most girly. Give her some minecrack
  15. Welcome to the forum, it seems he's safe nowhere now.
