I keep having problems with the screen freezing when air strikes go off around me, or when a nade explodes near me, and when the guy yells out something in the game.
I have deleted all sound structures and software and I am only using a Logitech USB headset. I have set the sound to the lowest allowed setting (10Khz).
But it still does it all the time.
There are other times when I am entering a new area on the map, and the screen will lock for just a .10 of sec or so. Once I go into that room,
it never does it again. It's like the game has to load that section of the map into memory or something. Anything about this problem out there? Do I need to alter the mpconfig
file or something? Is it system memory or video memory? I could use some help on this.
The other problem I consistently get is that the weapon won't kill anything that I shoot at. I get the X on every shot but the enemy shows no sign of injury. I have seen several
times where I am point blank behind the guy and shoot him and nothing happens, he turns around and kills me. Now there is one thing that I select a lot and that is "Silencer".
Those are the weapons I have a problem with. But, if I log out and come back, the problem goes away. If I select another un-silenced weapon the problem goes away. BUT,
if I select an un-silenced weapon at the beginning of the match, the same thing happens.
This is the third re-installation of the game on this PC from scratch. It didn't matter. This problem never occurred when I was using my old XP system.
The last thing that I have a problem with is the loading of the match for the first time. I start the game, go through the pages and select Beginners and load it up. It starts to load,
to about 1/2 done, then it stops, and loads a little, stop, load, stop, load, stop, then finishes. When it does that, the game plays like I am on a 33.6 k modem. I have get out of the
game completely and start it all over again. Then it loads the game in just a second or two and it plays okay, except for the problems above.
I am using a PNY Geforce 630 video card. I had to disable the HD sound system because it caused a lot of problems. I get about 100-130 fps and it runs great. No other problems
with any video or graphics that I do. It runs cool and I have tested it harshly and it does not fail.
The other thing I see all the time...I am always playing slightly behind you guys in the game. About .25 ms or so. I mean that when everyone gets loaded into the match and we are
counting down, you guys are already running away, and I haven't finished loading in. And yet most of the time, I am at the front of the pack.
So, I have tried everything I can to solve these problems but to no avail. I usually run at 125 to 140 ms ping in the game. Although the test ping I do to the server is 97ms.
I would appreciate any and all HELPFUL hints that you can think of. No jabs at my age. Okay.
