The API called CraftBukkit, a Minecraft plugin API used by most Minecraft servers, has been legally taken off of the internet.

Former CraftBukkit coder, now GitHub member Wesley Wolfe submitted an official DMCA takedown request to have CraftBukkit be taken off of the internet. He claims that the current developers of CraftBukkit are still using some of his copyrighted code in their API for Minecraft servers.

As of right now, the official download page for CraftBukkit is not available. You are prompted with this error:

This content is unavailable as the direct result of a DMCA takedown request.

It is unknown to us how long CraftBukkit will remain unavailable, and with the promise of developer Dinnerbone for an updated version of CraftBukkit for 1.8, it makes the public nervous. Will we see a 1.8 version of the most-used API?
