Daliger Posted August 10, 2014 Share Posted August 10, 2014 In my opinion, you should add fun plugins, rather than mods. Plugins that would make vanilla not so "boring". You can get things like minigames, factions, towny, pretty much anything you can think of is found on bukkit. No idea what happened to that. So if we add new server what's going to happen down 2 months? I keep adding servers and they keep going in waste.. People get exited, use it and then waist... and if any issues.. me and GI Joe need to put our head together and keep fixing it. I have problem with computer which is why stoped doing that ,also ppl didnt want to participate so... Imo If u want to advertise server u need something that will attract ppl to play there , tell me what our server have to offer, that smtg ppl will like and return everyday on server . I kept talking about moded server from FTB that is popular like Monster , Direwolf20, Horizons or my fav Argrarian skies ... but after hearing all the time that we dont have enough ram for it , i stoped caring . But after u added more ram i hoped something can change ... I played argarian skies on servers and i could see how many new ppl join everyday and how many regulars they have . Many clans have servers for all of popular mods. Dare whatever you do , it will be good. I dont have time lately for games also this f***ing pc keep crashing so games r not for me till i get new hdd. Then how come few months back you asked for vanilla saying that's what people want? I am not arguing with you, I am just trying to understand game stuff... since I haven't played much minecraft even though I have it. The reason we were successful in ET and COD4 is because was when we started servers I had set up such that people liked it.. But i knew both games inside out pretty well and played both a lot. Minecraft I am zero you can say cos I practically hate that game but still we updated our servers/machine, etc over the period of time for our minecraft hositng but our minecraft server hardly got any players or new members since day 1. All this machines upgrade are not cheap and we are paying for it. When you are going to fix your machine? If we add server do you take full responsibility to make it popular and maintain it? If CPU spikes high, it uses full RAM, etc you need to fix it. Basically you will be in charge to make it popular, maintain it and fix it. I am not going to put my head and hours in maintaining something which goes dead in 1 month. For Plugins if they are good plugins we can always add it but so far no suggestions? Why no till now? A person either me or you or GI Joe can't know whats up to date all the time. We share info and put up the best. For plugins create new topic and we try to add those plugins if they are good coded. For mod we will use this topic to continue the discussion. If I had time I would teach you but i am running out of time since last few months and I don't want to make broken promises. No one taught me over the period of time. You get issue you look for answer and if you don't get answer in Google you ask on respective support forums and learn. My last Goal was to upgrade our Euro server. convertor Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 I know Joe tried some stuff like back packs but it lagged the server he removed the back pack and helped with the lag. I due agree Baska that some mod packs are cool and fun to play on. i LIke Dierwolf20 was a fun one has rabbits and Dears and some other cool stuff maybe we could take a look in to this mod?
