Macbook OS X

Recommended Posts

Heya, and welcome to the forums!

First I need to know just one thing, what version of OS X are you using? (You can find this in Apple Menu -> About this mac)

Thanks :)

You will have to use ET:legacy, which is an open source port/mod of ET. Everything is mostly the same though. You will want to copy over your etconfig.cfg file though to wherever this installs.

And here's the wiki about it, there are some changed cvars and stuff, so it's worth looking through. http://dev.etlegacy.com//projects/etlegacy/wiki

Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about it.

Just a pointer that it only works on Legacy and Silent mod servers!

That has been fixed for awhile now. :P "The OS X release of ET:L should be compatible with any mod that builds with Intel binaries specifically for OS X. It’s confirmed to work with at least silEnT, ETrun, jaymod, and Legacy."

Haha, it's all good. Always happy to help. :)

So once you've downloaded the ET legacy DMG file: http://mirror.etlegacy.com/release/ETLegacy_v2.71rc4-c1.dmg, open it up from your Downloads folder. It will show up on your desktop as like a USB drive. Open that up, and there should be an installer. If not, then just create a folder in "Applications" in the Finder named ETLegacy, and just copy and paste the files over. :)
