Hello,

Since couple days I have this problem when connecting to a server, my rate and maxpackets seem just fine, but after a minute or so, my rate changes randomly and maxpackets change back to 30.

I writeconfig name.cfg

exec name.cfg

but next map it is the same problem.

very frustrating problem cause this happens ingame aswell.

What to do?

Thanks in advance,

'.-

When connected to server (Silent #1 in this case)

You should change it at main menu in autoexec and it should stay like that all the time at least it worked for me.

Have you tried

seta cg_rate  34000

You can also do this automatically when starting ET by saving it to your config or  starting the variable with ET on startup settings. Like right click on ET program that you usually double-click and go to settings.  Append +cg_rate 34000 to the ET binary program under your Win OS same goes to the other one.

add the commands in your cfg is the best thing to do I think.
I have same issue when a new map is loading so I just exec my cfg every start of map.
/exec 1    easy and lazy name :P

Hello again folks !

I tried all that, but still when next map is loaded, i have same problem, Even when i /exec mynewcfg the rate on NQ1 changes from 34000 to 25000 and maxpackets from 90 to 30.

I don't understand how this is possible cause i have never had this problem since ET was released.

Maybe i have to run pk3 cleaner ?

Also when it's even in my autoexec, the rate and packets change.

Last note;

when i /bind h say lol

/writeconfig lol.cfg

/exec lol

the bind is not working

Never seen this pro-blem before :P

Once again, thanks for your help and patience.
