How to pour a non-foamy soda...

I used to work as a bartender and I learned something about pouring drinks. So I thought I would pass this on to you guys.

When pouring a coke or pepsi or any soda into a glass of ice, try this trick to keep down the foam and make it taste better.

This works with either cubes or crushed ice.

Put some ice into the glass. Then add water till it's over the ice. Swirl the glass until it gets cold. Now pour out all but just a little of the water.

Pop the soda can or open the bottle. Take the glass and lean it over until the water is just above the ice. Pour the coke into the glass slowly.

Keep the glass tilted until the coke comes up near the lip of the glass. Then tilt it back a little at a time until you fill the glass.

You will notice that the coke doesn't foam up and there is more fizz in the cola.

Happy trails cowboy.

fine for soda's but I have seen similar tricks with beer. IMO good beer gets better when you let it get a head on it the bubbles release the deep favors of the beer and make it amazing, try it sometime when you are not afraid to wear some foam and make a mess
