I got some task to do in college, i need to give some examples of the word "BLADE" in metaphors and metonyms.

here is the example of word "WHEEL"

The wheel of life - metaphor

i bought new wheels - metonymy ( that is use of part of the object in order to describe it)

Any suggestions with BLADE ?

I dont have any idea for examples..but if i want to define a word in google, i personally google for

define:blade

maybe you can google for

metaphor:blade

metonymy:blade

and see if that would take you to a lead.

I'm not an English major, but......

"Cross me and you will feel my blade". Which would be saying if you bring harm to me, you will feel my wrath/anger.

Can easily use "I bought some new blades" - I bought a new pair of rollerblades or ice skates.

Blade of grass also comes to mind, meaning a grass leaf. Or a shoulder blade, as a part of human body.

"She picked up a blade of grass". "Shoulder blades are more visible on skinny people".
