Whether from surfing the web, streaming music or videos, downloading apps, or downloading anything for that matter. This is an estimate of ALL data you have use whether it be over wifi or your carriers service. This is the total amount used. Your carrier only cares about data you have used on their service and that will reflect on your bill it will show a true usage of data. This will record your carrier data usage AND wifi usage on separate tabs. This way you can keep track better of how much you're using for your plan. I downgraded to a 500mb/mo plan and got this app. it's helped loads. 2: When not browsing the net, or using anything data related... turn off your roaming data via the Android options. Even if you're not doing anything major, data still leaks and adds up to wasted MB's. You can always turn it back on whenever you need to go online/download something.
