CSL Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 I was watching IRT:Worlds deadliest roads season one. They take ice road truckers and have them drive these insane roads in Inida. Now I am from New York City and am used to crazy driving including driving an Ambulance through NYC traffic but damn those Indian roads and drivers are insane. Can some of our Indian members confirm that is really that bad? I dont like to stereotype anyone or anyplace but if all Indians drive like that I wonder how anyone survives a trip to the grocery store. India: 16.9 deaths per 100.000 inhabitants. However, if we list deaths per 100.000 cars, we get 15 and 316 respectively. From this we may derive that if there are a lot more cars per inhabitant in the US than in India. Furthermore, we see that you won't die more often in India from car crashes than in the US, unless you are in a region with more cars than the average. Panini could you imagine walking on that road on a really hot day and getting smashed in between two hot cars?
