MBAM FTW!

Free ;) and has found malware/adware that McAfee consistently fails to find.

Sorry if this seems like trolling but i dont use an anti virus, i have a mac. Now i know that doesn't totally secure me but i dont download torrents or shareware from unknown sources and only exchange files between people i know or have met. Thats the best anti virus i can get, cheapest too!

Windows constantly annoys me with the message 'No antivirus is installed' so I don't think I've an antivirus :)

Or could be Satan.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware it's not an antivirus but detect more than others.

This to scan and Avast to keep everything else out.
Worked for me for the last two years, and just as free as Bosman's strategy ;)

(Kinda) there with you... I run linux, so I dont use AV. but when I was running windows, I used to use symantec (not norton), or AVG, before it turned into adware.
