This is the support topic for the tutorial Basic Guide to using Xfire.  Please post here if you have any questions or feedback.

I have feedback, take my name off that lol. I only did like 25% of the work and thats being nice.

if anyone is having problems with the links to the images in the index (they work for me at least), let me know and I'll upload them to a different host and re-do the links.

Edit: Added a few more links to the "Start a group chat" index as well as fixed a missing pic in the "Accepting invites" index (Big thank you to Chuckun for helping me with that at 3am), also fixed a few missed errors out of boredom

Also, I think 'Basic' is a bit of an understatement And you know it xD

Lol well it doesn't cover EVERYTHING and Basic was the best way I could think to describe it

lol using xfire for years now and I didn't know 50% of the stuff standing in this topic

only use xfire for chat (and didn't even know there was something called group chat XD), that's all ^^ + isn't there a way to send files trough xfire chat

I'm pretty sure I did it once, but dunno how ^^

Yes there is. I'll write up the procedures and ask GI if he can add it tonight or tomorrow morning. (just got swamped with some stuff, but ill get it done).

Added, need to figure out the steps for the receiving end, and plan to eventually add reference pics to the index.

also I've been having trouble for the last couple months with Xfire file transfers, don't know what's wrong with it, not my fire-wall, not sure if it's my network/internet settings or not, but I haven't been able to send/receive for a while now.

Will send you that too lol. Sorry, but figured you would know it :/ also it worked the last time you tried to send me stuff. I just have file download blocked.

@everyone, what GI said. Glad you all found this helpful. If you want us to add anything pm on forums or xfire me (yes ironic I know) and we will do our best to add it.

Nice tutorial but does x-fire make even minimum lags in game when its on?

xfire does lag the game if the user is using the internet browser through xfire or is chatting with someone. It's not a huge lag but it is know to give players a few problems.

EDIT: also added section on transferring files and receiving file.
