Hiya,

From time-to-time my computer hangs in the middle of a game. And I mean completely hangs, no ctrl-alt-delete, nothing works... have to reboot. It's annoying and I was wondering if anyone here knew a fix or a work-around for it?

Game Info:

ET 2.60
- Logged in as an admin
- Running game as an admin
- Exception made in firewall to allow ET to run on internet
- Exception made with Antivirus to allow ET to run on internet
(Never really had a problem with the last two)

Computer Info:

OS: Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001
Processor: Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz, 2994 Mhz, Dual Core
RAM: 1.00 GB

Go to control panel - Problem reports and solutions - Copy paste the error which you are getting.

Ah! Forgot about that feature... please to be forgiving the noobishness :)

The funny thing I'm getting from Problem reports and solutions is that it's saying I have a problem with Kapersky Anti Virus... I never had Kapersky on any of my machines. Must be some hold-over from a factory install.

And there's a few other items in the Problem reports and solutions to boot. The biggest suggestion was to perfom a disk cleanup and check the disk for errors. So I'm going to do all this house-cleaning stuff first and see if the problem persists and post the results here.

Hopefully that solves it.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
