How does using different core affect the game? because unlike modern games, ET is CPU based instead of GPU, so you can choose how many cores to use to run the game. more the better, as long as you do have that much cores. SkyeDarkhawk Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Looks like it's just a tool to tell your operating system to dedicate a specific amount of processing cores to ET, and probably sets the priority of ET to Above Normal, so your computer focuses more on ET rather than other open programs. Until he releases his source code, or says exactly what it does, it's hard to say. For all we know it does this, plus tracks all GUIDs that use it so he can hack with them.
