Minecraft Broken plugin (internal server error)

Hey guys,

Please uninstall the "backpack" plugin. It's messed up and literally everybody is getting kicked due to a "internal server error" anytime a new stack is formed in the backpack by picking up blocks after your inventory is full.

This makes the server pretty much unplayable if your backpack is full. I'm getting kicked here every two minutes... Please do something about it.

Cheers,

SSG

But sometimes it is when you mine red stone you get kicked.

Please try to rule that out. It might just be that a new stack is formed in your backpack. I've tested it and feel like I'm only being kicked when my inventory is full and a new stack if formed inside my backpack.

An update was released a few days ago for the backpacks plugin to fix players being kicked for a ticking error. Hopefully this resolves some of those issues, though considering some of the other errors I'm getting around players being kicked I am not positive that this was the source (or the only one). Some errors seem to be tied to GriefPrevention. It's possible it could just be a plugin conflict, but I have doubts since other Servers do not seem to have an issue running both.

I have a feeling most of these errors may not have anything to do with an issue between the plugin an the server that I can fix, I think most of these will only be resolved if the plugin dev patches it. I will check once or twice a week for plugin updates (as usual).

If it continues please use tracker to report these kicks and include timestamps for when it happened (preferably in CST) and I will look into it and see what I can do (if I can do anything about it).

Edit: after some more investigating I think the kicks themselves are coming from events failing to be passed to craftbukkit, not sure how to fix it but I'll look into it. For now I have disabled the backpacks plugin just to be sure.

Hey there, Joe and thanks for looking into this. I've been testing today and with backpack plugin turned off, I'm having zero problems. Let's hope the problem will be fixed now :)

all the data from the backpacks plugin is still there, it's just disabled. If at some point they fix the issue between the plugin and craftbukkit (whether it be with the plugin dev or craftbukkit I don't know) all your stuff will still be there.
